Bauman operates a program for women to enter fishing through the "Ladies, Let's Go Fishing!" seminar series, generating more than 6,000 graduates who have been introduced to conservation techniques. She comments, "We have opened this contest to the marine industry and organizations, as the more people we have starting conservation projects, the better it is for marine life."
