It's time to recognize those who take action to save our
seas! Care enough to make a difference? Now, you CAN. Here's
how.
Create a marine or conservation or awareness project and be
recognized for it. No matter how big or small,
every effort counts.
Just come up with your idea, submit the entry form and
get rolling. We will provide web pages to document your
progress with text, photos or video clip links. Just email
reports from time to time with photos. Use the forum for
you to find and network with others in your community who want
to help, and talk about your progress.
You have until Jan. 15, 2012 to complete your project. There
will be two tiers of awards, Interim Honors and Final Honors.
Projects with reports by Oct. 15, 2011 are eligible for Interim
Honors at the
"Ladies, Let's Go Fishing!" www.ladiesletsgofishing.com
Islamorada seminar kickoff on November 11, and be eligible for
final awards (submit progress by Jan. 15) at the Miami Boat Show
February, 2012.
Congratulations to those who made a difference for the 2010
program. Special thanks goes to Guy Harvey for providing
fantastic art prints and presenting the honors personally at the
Miami Boat Show in 2011!
Entries are open for 2011 - Pick your favorite marine issue and
do something about it! It can be as easy as organizing a group
to gather litter from the water or writing a web-based
educational flyer, poster or booklet about conservation that you
can print and distribute. There are categories for individual or
group participation.
It's time for anglers and boaters to fight back to preserve the
marine environment! Show that you care!
